Does the packing list save automatically?

Yes. Your whole list — categories, items, quantities and which boxes are ticked — is stored in your browser's local storage and reloads the next time you open the page on the same device and browser. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

A packing list builder that turns the last-minute scramble before a trip into a calm, tick-as-you-go checklist. Group everything you need into categories — clothing, toiletries, documents, tech — give each item a quantity, and watch a live progress bar fill as you pack. It is built for travellers who want one reusable list rather than a fresh scrap of paper for every holiday, business trip or camping weekend.

Start from one of five ready-made templates (beach holiday, business trip, camping trip, city break, or travelling with a baby), each pre-sorted into sensible categories with the items most people forget. From there you can add, rename, reorder or delete anything until the list matches your exact trip. Everything you do is saved instantly in your browser, so you can close the tab, pack over several days, and come back to find your progress exactly where you left it.

How it works

The builder keeps a simple structured model of your trip: a set of categories, each holding a list of items with a name, a quantity and a packed/unpacked flag. When you tick an item, the progress bar and the “x of y packed” counter update immediately, and a category header shows how far through that section you are. You can check or uncheck a whole category at once, hide items you have already packed to focus on what remains, or reset every box before the next trip.

Because the list lives in your browser’s local storage, there is no sign-up and nothing leaves your device. When you want a copy, export the finished checklist as a plain-text list (with tick boxes preserved), a CSV for spreadsheets, or a JSON file you can import again before the next trip. That JSON round-trip is what makes the list genuinely reusable: pack once, save the file, and reload it whenever you travel.

Example

Imagine a 5-day beach holiday for two. Load the beach template and you instantly get categories for Clothing, Sun & skin, Beach gear, Toiletries, Documents & money and Tech — roughly 30 items. Bump the swimsuit quantity to 2, add “Kindle” under Tech, delete the snorkel set you are not taking, and add a new “Medication” category with two items. As you pack, the bar climbs from 0% to 100%; hide-packed keeps only the outstanding items on screen. When the bag is closed you export a text checklist to share with your travel partner and a JSON backup for next summer.
