How many days have you been alive?
Enter your date of birth and this tool instantly shows the total number of days you have been alive, plus the same span in weeks, months, hours and minutes. It is a popular way to mark milestones — a 10,000-day birthday, a one-billion-second celebration, or simply seeing your life measured a different way.
How it works
The calculator takes the elapsed time between your birth date (at local midnight) and now, then floors it to a whole number of days:
days = floor((now − date of birth) ÷ 24 hours)
From that single figure it derives every other unit:
- Weeks = days ÷ 7 (rounded down)
- Months ≈ days ÷ 30.44 (an average calendar month)
- Hours = days × 24
- Minutes = hours × 60
Because it counts real elapsed days, every leap day you have lived through is already included.
Example
Someone born on 1 January 2000 has lived, by 30 May 2026, about:
| Unit | Value |
|---|---|
| Days | ~9,646 |
| Weeks | ~1,378 |
| Months | ~317 |
| Hours | ~231,504 |
| Minutes | ~13,890,240 |
The day count is exact for the current date; the month figure is approximate because months differ in length. Everything runs in your browser, so your birth date never leaves your device.
