What makes a good Key Result?

A good Key Result is a measurable outcome, not a task. It moves a number from a baseline to a target by a deadline — for example "increase weekly active AI feature users from 1,200 to 3,000". If it can be marked simply "done", it is a task, not a Key Result.

Why do I need to enter baselines?

A target without a baseline is meaningless — "reach 90% accuracy" is only ambitious if you know whether you start at 50% or 89%. Baselines turn aspirations into measurable, gradeable key results, which is the whole point of OKRs.

How many objectives should I set?

Limit yourself to one to three objectives per period, each with two to four key results. More than that and focus dissolves. The generator will format whatever you enter, but fewer, sharper objectives outperform a long list.

Are these OKRs ready to use directly?

They are a strong first draft. Review the suggested targets against what your team can realistically commit to, since only you know your capacity. Treat the output as a structured starting point you refine with stakeholders.

Aim for two to four key results per objective; one is too fragile, five dilutes focus. Stretch targets are healthy in OKRs, so landing at 70% of an aggressive key result is often a win — but only if the baseline is real. Re-run the generator at the start of each period and archive the previous set so you can grade what you committed to last time.
