Prompt competition difficulty analyzer

If your prompt ends in “trending on artstation, 8k, hyperdetailed, octane render,” you are generating the same image as everyone else. Certain terms are so overused in AI art that they collapse outputs toward a common, recognizable look. This analyzer scores how crowded your concept is and points you toward wording that produces something distinct.

How it works

The tool scans your prompt against a built-in list of high-saturation terms grouped into categories: generic quality tags (“8k”, “hyperdetailed”), overused render engines (“octane render”, “unreal engine”), clichéd platform tags (“trending on artstation”), and the handful of artist and style names that dominate community prompts. Each match adds to a 0-100 saturation score weighted by how strong that term’s pull is. For every flagged term it offers a more specific alternative — swapping a vague modifier for a concrete, distinctive one that the crowd is not using.

Tips for distinctive output

  • Replace quality spam with specifics. “8k hyperdetailed” adds little; “shot on 85mm at golden hour” gives the model a real, uncommon direction.
  • Name a precise medium or process. “Cyanotype print”, “risograph”, or “wet plate collodion” pull output far from the default look.
  • Anchor in a concrete scene. Unusual settings and specific props are harder for the crowd to accidentally replicate than abstract style tags.
  • Use the score as a dial, not a verdict. Crowd-pleasing looks have their place; just choose saturation deliberately.
