The classic mode anchors on five tropical hues: coral (around 10 degrees), yellow (50), turquoise (175), lush green (130), and magenta-pink (320). Each is jittered slightly so palettes feel fresh while staying on theme.

Are these colors accessible for text?

Saturated mid-lightness colors suit accents, buttons, and headers more than body text. For readable text place dark or white type on the swatch and verify the contrast ratio meets at least 4.5 to 1.

Can I reproduce a palette I liked?

Each generation is random, so palettes change every time. Copy or note the hex codes you want to keep, because regenerating will not reproduce the exact same set.

How it works

Tropical color schemes get their punch from high saturation and a deliberate mix of warm and cool hues. The generator:

Starts from five tropical anchor hues — coral, yellow, turquoise, lush green, and magenta-pink — on the 0–360° wheel.
Applies the chosen style: classic tropical jitters the anchors slightly, complementary pop pairs a base hue with the one 180° opposite, and random vivid spreads hues freely.
Forces every color into the vibrant zone: saturation 78–95% and lightness 52–68%.

Each HSL color is then converted to a hex string for display and copying.

Tips and notes

Use one or two tropical colors as dominant brand tones and keep the rest as accents so the palette stays balanced rather than chaotic.
