Product management is a writing job disguised as a strategy job — PRDs, user stories, roadmap narratives, and retro summaries all have to be clear before they can be useful. This Product Manager prompt pack gives you structured prompt templates for each of those artifacts, so an AI assistant produces a usable first draft in the right format instead of generic prose you have to rewrite from scratch.

How it works

The prompts are grouped by PM workflow — discovery (problem framing, user interview synthesis), PRD (requirements, scope, success metrics), delivery (user stories with acceptance criteria, sprint retro summaries), and analysis (competitive teardowns, prioritisation frameworks). Filter by category or search, then replace the bracketed placeholders such as [product type], [stage], and [feature]. Each prompt encodes the conventional structure for its artifact so the output is shaped correctly. Everything runs locally; the tool only copies prompt text to your clipboard.

Tips and examples

Feed prompts specifics, not themes — “a checkout flow for first-time mobile buyers” yields far better user stories than “improve checkout”. For PRDs, run the prompt to get the skeleton, then immediately fill the success-metrics section yourself, since that is the part the model cannot know and the part stakeholders scrutinise most. Use the retro prompt to turn raw notes into “what went well / what to change / actions with owners” so follow-through survives the meeting. For competitive teardowns, always re-verify any concrete feature claim against the live product, because models routinely lag a competitor’s current state.
