A newsletter digest prompt builder rescues the time professionals lose to a flooded inbox of industry newsletters. Instead of skimming each one, you build a prompt once that turns any edition into a consistent, scannable digest — a one-line TL;DR, the takeaways that matter, and only the sections you asked for. This tool assembles that prompt from your choices.

How it works

You select the newsletter topic, the audience for the digest (executive, manager, or practitioner), the digest length, and which sections to include — for example key takeaways, action items, notable links, or a sentiment read. The builder turns these into an instruction block that tells the model to compress the source into exactly that structure, summarise only what is present, and flag anything it infers. The prompt is built in your browser; you paste it above each week’s newsletter in your own LLM, so the content stays on your machine.

Tips and examples

Set the prompt up once per newsletter and reuse it weekly — consistency is what makes a digest scannable over time, because your eye learns where the takeaways live. For executive audiences, keep the length short and lead with implications (“what this means for us”) rather than raw news; for practitioners, keep the how-to detail. Include an action items section only if the newsletter genuinely prompts action, otherwise the model will pad it. If you summarise several newsletters into one super-digest, run each separately first, then feed the digests back in for a final merge — chaining short summaries beats asking the model to swallow everything at once.
