Tithe calculator

This calculator works out a tithe — traditionally a tenth of income given to a church or charity — and shows what remains afterward. It supports tithing on either gross or net income and any rate you choose, so it fits different convictions and giving plans.

How it works

The maths is a simple percentage of your chosen income basis:

tithe     = income × rate / 100
remaining = income − tithe

You select whether income is gross (before tax) or net (after tax) — that choice is yours; the calculation is identical either way. The rate defaults to the traditional 10% but can be set to any value. Results are rounded to two decimal places.

Example

On a monthly income of $3,000 at the traditional 10% rate, the tithe is 3000 × 0.10 = $300.00, leaving $2,700.00. Change the rate to 5% and the tithe becomes $150.00, leaving $2,850.00.
