How it works
First choose a level — school, college, or university — which selects the right suffix vocabulary, from Academy and Grammar School up to Institute of Technology and Polytechnic University. Then pick a style: founder mode prepends a surname (Hawthorne Preparatory School), geographic mode uses a place name (Northfield University), and prestige mode appends a discipline (Summit College of Business). Prestige naming applies only to colleges and universities, matching real conventions. Each batch is de-duplicated.
Tips and notes
- Geographic names are the safest for fiction because they rarely collide with one famous institution.
- Prestige names imply a specialism, which is handy when your demo needs an engineering or business school specifically.
