A book’s title is its first and loudest pitch. This free generator builds title concepts tuned to the conventions of five major genres, so a thriller reads like a thriller and a self-help book promises a benefit. It is a brainstorming aid: generate dozens of options quickly, then refine the one that resonates.
How it works
Each genre maps to a small set of proven title templates plus word banks of genre-appropriate vocabulary. When you generate, the tool picks a template at random and fills its slots from the matching bank. For example, literary fiction uses patterns such as The {adjective} {noun}, thrillers use The {adjective} {role} and short hook lines, and self-help uses numbered patterns like The {number} {plural} of {abstract}.
Because every choice is random and de-duplicated within a batch, each click produces a fresh, non-repeating set you can mine for ideas.
Tips and notes
- Genres signal different promises. A buyer scanning a fantasy shelf expects a
{noun} of {place}cadence, while a nonfiction buyer expects an explicit benefit. Pick the genre your reader will be browsing. - Treat the output as raw material. The strongest titles often come from swapping one generated word for something specific to your story.
- Always verify availability. Search major retailers and a trademark registry before you print a cover.
