A browser-based passport and ID photo maker that turns an ordinary head-and-shoulders photo into a correctly sized, print-ready document photo. Pick the country or document you need, frame your face inside an aspect-locked crop box, and export either a single spec-size image or a full print sheet that tiles multiple copies onto a 4x6, A4 or US Letter page — all without uploading a single byte.

How it works

Official passport photos are defined by three things: a precise physical size (for example 51x51 mm for the US or 35x45 mm for the UK and Schengen), a minimum resolution, and a plain background. This tool encodes those rules. When you select a preset it locks the crop rectangle to that document’s exact width-to-height ratio, so you can drag the corners freely and the framing always stays in proportion.

When you export, the selected region of your photo is drawn onto an off-screen canvas sized in real pixels — width in millimetres divided by 25.4, multiplied by your chosen DPI. A US 2x2 photo at 300 DPI becomes exactly 600x600 pixels; at 600 DPI it is 1200x1200. Any empty area inside the crop is filled with the recommended background colour. The print-sheet builder then composes a second canvas at the page size, centres a grid of copies, adds a small margin between them and optional hairline cut guides, and hands you a PNG via the browser’s native canvas.toBlob. Because everything happens client-side, your photo never leaves your device, and your last-used settings are remembered in localStorage.

Example

Suppose you need US visa photos. Choose the US 2x2 inch preset and a 4x6 inch sheet at 300 DPI. Upload a photo taken against a white wall, then drag the crop box so your eyes sit near the upper guide line and your chin stays above the lower one. The preview shows a clean 600x600 px photo. The sheet panel reports a 2 x 3 grid = 6 copies. Download the sheet, print it at a photo kiosk or on glossy paper, and trim along the guides — six identical, correctly sized photos for the price of one print. Switch the preset to UK 35x45 mm and the same workflow produces eight copies on the same 4x6 sheet instead.

Every figure is computed in your browser. No photo, measurement or setting is ever uploaded.
