Pakistan salary income-tax calculator

Enter your gross monthly or annual salary in PKR and see your income tax and monthly take-home using the official salaried-person slabs for FY 2024-25 (1 Jul 2024 – 30 Jun 2025) from the Finance Act 2024. It is for salaried employees in Pakistan checking a payslip, comparing offers, or estimating their FBR liability before filing.

How it works

The tool converts your input to an annual figure, then finds which of the six salaried-person slabs your income lands in. Each slab carries a fixed base amount plus a marginal rate on the income above the slab floor — so only the excess over each threshold is taxed at the higher rate. Annual tax is divided by 12 for the monthly figure, subtracted from monthly pay for take-home, and the effective rate is annual tax ÷ annual income.

Example

A salary of PKR 250,000/month is PKR 3,000,000/year. That sits in the 2,200,001–3,200,000 slab: base PKR 180,000 plus 25% of (3,000,000 − 2,200,000 = 800,000) = PKR 200,000, giving PKR 380,000 annual tax, or about PKR 31,667/month. Monthly take-home is roughly PKR 218,333, an effective rate of 12.7%.
