North Macedonia applies a 10% flat personal income tax rate on employment income as of 2025. Unlike progressive tax systems with multiple brackets, a flat rate means the same percentage applies to all taxable income regardless of amount. This calculator estimates your income tax and net take-home pay, monthly or annual, entirely in your browser.
How it works
The calculation is a single flat percentage applied to gross income:
- tax = gross × (rate ÷ 100), with the rate defaulting to 10%
- net = gross − tax
Use the period toggle to enter a monthly or annual salary. When you enter a monthly figure, the annual columns are derived by multiplying by 12. The calculator covers personal income tax only — social security, health and other contributions are levied separately on gross salary and will reduce real take-home pay further.
Example
On a gross monthly salary of den 60,000:
| Field | Monthly | Annual (× 12) |
|---|---|---|
| Gross | den 60,000 | den 720,000 |
| Income tax (10%) | den 6,000 | den 72,000 |
| Net (before contributions) | den 54,000 | den 648,000 |
