Estimate your real Miami parking cost

Parking is one of Miami’s quietly expensive line items, and rates swing sharply by neighborhood and by whether there is an event nearby. This estimator uses district median rates to price your typical usage, then compares a flat monthly pass against pay-as-you-go so you can choose the cheaper option for how you actually park.

How it works

Pay-as-you-go cost depends on how often and how long you park, with an optional event multiplier on premium days:

per_visit = hours_per_visit * hourly_rate * event_multiplier
payg_monthly = per_visit * days_per_month

A monthly pass is a flat fee for the neighborhood. The tool compares the two and finds the break-even day count where the pass starts saving money:

breakeven_days = monthly_pass / per_visit

If you park more days than the break-even, the monthly pass is cheaper; fewer days, pay-as-you-go wins.

Tips and example

In Brickell at a 4.00 hourly rate, parking 4 hours a visit costs 16 per visit. At 20 days a month that is 320 pay-as-you-go, versus a 250 Brickell monthly pass — so the pass saves 70. The break-even is about 16 days: park more than that and buy the pass, park less and pay per visit. Apply a 1.5x event multiplier on game or concert days to see how venue-area surges inflate the cost.
