This calculator adds or removes Greek ΦΠΑ (Φόρος Προστιθέμενης Αξίας / FPA) — value-added tax. The standard rate is 24% in 2025, with an intermediate 13% rate and a reduced 6% rate for specific goods and services. It’s useful for pricing, invoicing, and finding the tax inside a gross figure.
How it works
The calculator works in two modes:
- Add tax treats your input as the net price. It computes
tax = net × rate ÷ 100andgross = net + tax. At 24%, the gross isnet × 1.24. - Remove tax treats your input as the gross (tax-inclusive) price. It computes
net = gross ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100)andtax = gross − net. At 24%, divide the gross by 1.24.
Override the rate field to use the 13% or 6% reduced rates.
Example
A net price of €250 at the standard 24% rate, in Add mode:
- tax = 250 × 0.24 = €60.00
- gross = 250 + 60 = €310.00
In Remove mode, entering €310 gross gives back €250 net and €60 tax.
| Rate | Applies to | Tax on €100 net |
