Denmark Moms (Merværdiafgift) Calculator 2025
Denmark charges Moms (Merværdiafgift) — its value-added tax — at a standard rate of 25% as of 2025. This calculator adds Moms to a net price or extracts it from a gross, tax-inclusive price, for shoppers, freelancers and businesses pricing goods and services in Danish kroner.
How it works
The calculator works in two directions from the 25% rate:
- Add tax (input is net): tax = net × 25%, and gross = net × 1.25.
- Remove tax (input is gross): net = gross ÷ 1.25, and tax = gross − net.
You can edit the rate field if you ever need a different percentage, and the result shows the full net / tax / gross breakdown.
Example
Net price of 100 DKK, adding 25% Moms:
tax = 100 × 0.25 = 25 DKK, gross = 125 DKK
Going the other way, a gross price of 125 DKK divides by 1.25 to give a net of 100 DKK with 25 DKK of Moms inside it.
| Mode | Input | Tax (25%) | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Add | 100 DKK net | 25 DKK | 125 DKK gross |
| Remove | 125 DKK gross | 25 DKK | 100 DKK net |
Denmark applies a single standard rate of 25% with no reduced rates, one of the most straightforward VAT systems in the EU. For guidance only — not tax advice. The tool runs entirely in your browser — no amounts or personal data are transmitted.
