A brainstorm prompt generator breaks the habit that makes AI ideation disappointing: typing “give me 10 ideas for X” and getting ten variations of the most obvious answer. Genuine creativity comes from attacking a problem from many angles, and structured ideation techniques do exactly that. This tool takes your problem, constraints, and industry and writes a set of divergent prompts — each built on a proven method — so your model is forced past the average answer.

How it works

You describe the problem statement, list any constraints, and name your industry for relevant framing, then optionally pick a focus style. The generator produces several distinct prompts, each applying a different ideation technique: SCAMPER works systematically through substitute-combine-adapt and its siblings; reverse brainstorm asks how to make the problem worse, then inverts the answers; analogy borrows solutions from an unrelated field; first principles strips the problem to fundamentals; and a “worst idea” prompt deliberately seeks bad ideas to mine for hidden gems. Each prompt embeds your problem and constraints so the output stays on-target. Everything is built locally in your browser.

Tips and examples

Be specific in the problem statement — “increase trial-to-paid conversion for a B2B analytics tool” yields sharper prompts than “grow the business”. Add real constraints even if they feel limiting; “no new engineering” or “launch in two weeks” force inventive answers and filter out fantasy ideas. Run the reverse-brainstorm and analogy prompts first when you feel stuck, as they most reliably produce unexpected directions. After generating ideas across three or four techniques, pull the best two or three from each into one shortlist rather than picking a single technique’s output — the cross-pollination is where the strongest concepts usually emerge.
