A bold text generator that turns whatever you type into real Unicode bold characters you can copy and paste anywhere — even in places that block normal formatting like Instagram bios, LinkedIn headlines, TikTok captions, Discord names and X posts. You get a live two-way preview: type on the left, see every bold variant on the right, and switch into reverse mode to turn bold text back into plain letters. Each style has its own one-click Copy button.

How it works

Most social apps strip out the usual ways of making text bold, such as HTML tags or Markdown stars, so a plain bold button is not available in a bio or a comment. This tool works around that using Unicode instead of fonts. Unicode reserves a block called Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols that contains a complete, separate set of bold letters and digits. The capital letter A, for example, has a serif bold twin and a sans-serif bold twin, each with its own permanent code point.

When you type, the generator walks through your text one character at a time and swaps every A to Z, a to z and 0 to 9 for its bold counterpart, while leaving spaces, punctuation and emoji untouched. Because the result is ordinary text made of standard characters, it carries its bold appearance with it wherever you paste it — no font, no special app and no installation required. The conversion is also reversible: the reverse mode recognises bold glyphs from the sans-serif, serif and italic ranges and maps them straight back to plain characters.

You can choose between sans-serif bold (clean and the most reliable across devices), serif bold (heavier, more traditional strokes), and slanted bold italic styles. Two extras add a combining-mark underline or strikethrough on top of the bold, which is handy for emphasis, struck-out prices or to-do lists. Everything runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is ever sent to a server.

Example

Type Open today only and pick sans-serif bold. You get a bold version that pastes cleanly into an Instagram bio or a LinkedIn headline and keeps its weight on phones and desktop alike. Switch to serif bold for a heavier, more formal heading, or add the strikethrough extra to show a crossed-out old price next to a new one.

Use bold Unicode for short, eye-catching emphasis rather than whole paragraphs, and keep anything that needs to be searchable or read by a screen reader in plain letters.
