A metal band name generator leans hard into the genre’s imagery, drawing on death, doom, infernal, ancient, and apocalyptic vocabulary. The aim is to surface names that already feel at home on a black-and-white logo, then let you refine the strongest ones by hand.
How it works
The tool keeps banks of dark adjectives, death-themed nouns, apocalyptic words, and standalone brutal coinages. Each sub-genre selects a different mix of patterns:
Adjective + DeathNoun -> Infernal Sepulchre
DeathNoun + of + Apocalypse -> Wrath of Annihilation
Adjective + Apocalypse -> Ancient Cataclysm
Standalone coinage -> Gravewurm

Tips and example
Death metal tends toward visceral, noun-heavy names like Decay of Pestilence,
while doom favours slow, weighty pairings such as Abyssal Throne. Read each
candidate as if it were on a gig flyer. Once you have a favourite, verify it on
metal databases and trademark registers, since the genre’s deep catalogue makes
collisions common.
