Supply chain prompt pack

Supply chain teams spend a surprising amount of time on structured writing: mapping where risk sits, drafting tactful supplier messages, walking through what-if disruption scenarios, and summarising inventory health for leadership. This supply chain prompt pack turns three inputs — your supply chain type, the risk factors you care about, and the audience — into four ready-to-use AI prompts that produce specific, on-topic drafts instead of generic filler.

How it works

You describe the supply chain once. The builder then assembles a risk-mapping prompt that asks the model to lay out nodes, single points of failure, and likelihood-versus-impact; a supplier communication prompt that drafts a clear, professional message for delays, price changes, or capacity requests; a disruption scenario prompt that walks through a what-if event and mitigation options; and an inventory commentary prompt for management reporting. Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing you type is uploaded.

Tips and notes

  • Name the real risks. “Single-source PCB supplier in one region, plus FX exposure on EUR purchases” produces a far better risk map than “general risks.”
  • Keep AI out of the decision. Use it to draft and stress-test plans; the call on inventory levels and supplier action stays with your team.
  • Tailor the tone. A supplier message and a board summary need different registers — set the audience input accordingly.
  • Pair with real data. Feed actual lead times, order volumes, and supplier scores into the AI’s draft before you rely on any number.
